Washington Concert Opera is thrilled to present soprano Olga Peretyatko in her local opera debut on September 28, 2014. She will be singing the role of Giulietta in Vincenzo Bellini's I Capuleti e i Montecchi opposite the talented mezzo-soprano Kate Lindsey who sings the role of Romeo.

Although she has been exciting audiences throughout Europe for years, Ms. Peretyatko has only recently gained American attention. Of her recent stunning Metropolitan debut as Elvira in I Puritani, the New York Times said:

"In a much-anticipated Met debut, the Russian soprano Olga Peretyatko ...is increasingly a go-to choice for touchstone coloratura soprano roles in opera houses around the world. It's clear why.
